The Dutch Landscape

Illustrative work I did for a friend. This was the cover for his Master studies graduation work. The idea behind the picture, is a river, taking nature from the forest on the left, via farmland in the center, to a city on the right.

Along the way, I made a lot of adjustments in order to get the right flow in the painting: I'm especially happy with the way the light hits the grass in the middle and the little playful edge on the right.
